Interesting insight into the Crimea crisis.

I'm split on the Muslim tartars...although I support their centuries long struggle against the Russians.
What do you think these fascist Ukrainians will do once they eliminate Russians....break bread with the Muslims? :?

Avoid these indepedent media websites. They are agents and spies. They are not who they seem to be. A research associate at global research, a Georgian Muslim, approached me 2 years ago and befriended me. Global research I suspect is the sister website of Information clearing house. I wont post his name so it doesnt appear on Google search. He was able to tell me my full name, dads occupation, my friends names. Went into such detail of the Somalia situation naming clans and the parties involved. He showed me pictures of him and his colleagues with ailing Fidel Castro. The world doesnt have access to him but he does and shows me these pictures in a computer lab. He went to the Libyan embassy to teleconference a minister who wanted to resign and he did during the Arab Spring. Im not sure why he approached and befriended me or what he wanted from me. I met him 4 or 5 times, and each time when I left him, he said "watch out for the flying saucers".

Informationclearinghouse.com and globalresearch are agents who gather intelligence and have a say in what goes on in the world, especially the Eastern World and Eastern bloc +allies. Their websites are just a branch of a much larger secret organization. I am not sure why they make it seem they are the underdogs and deserve sympahizers. People always focus on USA but no one knows about these people I'm mentioning. They are a secretive shadowy group of people.

Listen, avoid these websites.

It's not for me to tell people what to think.....I merely put the information out there....folk can decide for themselves.
Your story seems far fetched.....but hey man, whatever you say. :D

Dervish let's remember that there are already millions of Tatars who live pretty well in Tatarstan. You think they are gonna do better under fascist neo-Nazi ultra-right wing militants in a bankrupt Ukraine?

People will vote based on economy. Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan republic in Russia has the largest mosque in Europe. In a time when Switzerland bans minarets.

It's an interesting article but a bit off the mark. It argues that according to a SOFA agreement between Ukraine and Russia (status of force agreement), Russia reserves the right to post up to 30,000 troops in Crimea. That's true but what they don't mention is that a SOFA agreement is about the easiest thing to breach since it's invalidated upon the slightest disagreement between the concerned parties or alleged violation of territorial integrity by the host nation.

Russia is violating international law, but who doesn't when it suits them? I wonder why they're even bothering with the media coverage and lambasting of Russia, besides paying lip service of condemnation, nobody can really do anything about it. Russia did a Kosovo on Ukraine and as of last week, Crimea is part of Russia

Just because the yanks say so......is that it?

No, that particular agreement only confined Russia to a single naval base. It wasn't exactly carte blanche to do as they wished in Crimea. Russia's key argument to justify Crimea's secession and incorporation into Russia is NATO's entry into Kosovo and it's acceptance after secession which was itself a breach of international law.

What are the Russians doing in Crimea?
The people of Crimea have rejected the Nazi putsch govt in Kiev as totally illegal.
The referendum was observed by over a dozen countries, and was free and fair.
What right do the serial transgressors of international law have to denounce Russia?

OD, I'm personally indifferent as to how the average Ukrainian, ethnic Russian or Tartar fares but I revel in what's taking place. Syria and Crimea are good reminders that there are alternatives to West-centric geopolitics in the world. But Russia did violate it's bilateral agreements with Ukraine and international law. We can speak plainly on this thread, we aren't exactly testifying at a Hague grand jury.
