Somalis talking in 'ghetto talk'= stupid and annoying...

Postby Sahra Sharaf » Sun Oct 16, 2005 12:57 am

Whats up with people typing shit yet when you talk to them over the phone or person to person they can coherently string a couple of words together?

I was talking to my cousins in the states a while ago; one greeted me with 'yo yo yo rmdn kariimz' huh? And another I asked how her Mum was after a surgery and she said 'she's all gud ...4shezzy' WTF? Is this some kind of joke? After some more gibberish that I couldnt for the life of me decipher she ended with 'aight gotta bounce...wun luv' Rolling Eyes There was a whole bunch of weird slang thrown at me from all sides, apparently saying sick means cool. I was told that after someone said thats sick in response to something I said and I threw a little fit. Excuse me? Are people that retarded or I'm just not let in on some great big inside joke? I dont get it. Someone explain please.

Who really considers this kind of crappy writting 'kewl'? It makes someone sound way stupider than they would imagine, neither is it funny nor is it creative. Its just shitty. And I wish people would talk normally.

And that includes people here too.

"And I wish people would talk normally. "

What is normal for you may not be normal for others. You are not open-minded.
