Also cost depends on location and "quality" it's not necessarily about the capacity. I am surprised that some would do it for 3, I think for halls 6 is the average now.
In the grand scheme of things 6k is not too much money for a wedding but for what you're getting I think it's a rip off. The same old curry/rice combo and salad with one or two roll things and vanilla ice cream and them clearing tables before the bride and groom have even left
