A marraige of convenience, waa nin kumeelgaar iyo naag xalaaleyn. Basically a man who divorces his wife with 3 talaq, and pays another man to marry that woman, then immediately divorce her so he can remarry her. Waa la yaab... I have never heard of this till today. I wonder how common is this crazy practice in present time and even more, I wonder if Somalis in the diaspora would consider this...or worse, done it. Bisinka

Habeen wanaagsan everyone!!

that shyt is disgusting. It is so common in my town in sweden that some culimaa came to the masjid holding a lecture solely about maxlal. What i dont understand is what sane man would let his women sleep with another man for a night to let the furitaan be anulled. And i wonder how many garac kids baa lagu dhalay this disgusting thing?

Wait, so a man pays some guy to marry/bang his wife/exwife for a brief period. Why? What's the benefit behind it?

Yh I have seen some Somali practising this. I just find it disgusting. Honestly I don't have a clue if it is allowed in Islam.

If a man divorces a woman 3 times he may not marry her again unless she's been married and divorced since.

Lakin Somalis misunderstand the 3 times. It's not that he says waan ku furey 3 times in one go. Some people believe that counts as 3 divorces then go to all this trouble when he could have just married her again.

But why? It seems like the husband is giving some random dude a free pass to wazz his wife. On top of that, the husband is giving financial compensation for the man's efforts! :dead:

A man has to bang another man's wife so the divorce process is sped up? Sounds like patriarchy so it probably is.
