Reason why, Close approximate to airport, Quiet, spacious, gym, tennis court, nice food ect...

My favorite hotel is Oriental Hotel. The services are unmatched. The location is unlike no other right in the heart of the city and just stone away from the Grand Ali Mataan Mosque. Love the nightlife. Love the noise. Love all the buzz. Also they are very cool and not al Shababist like Deero hotel who ask stupid Saudi papers.

Ambassador is cool but too far and the gate is stupid...not much free movement. You have to go through two gates every time you come down to the city.

Oriental no gates nothing just in and out.

Mansoor is great but too many dhaqan celis kids running up and down.

Go to Oriental and ask for Abdirasaq, he will look after you.

The rooms are great, AC, Internet, WiFi, hot water, very cheap and I love the Chinese menu (I had Won Mein or something)...also like their relaxed Chinese deco. Oldest hotel in Hargeisa so just a treasure. Not many fridges in the rooms and the main TV is in the main space. Most comers are adults and foreign agents. They quietly do their work. A lot of people with laptops and computers.

The girls that make the smoothies and tea are fantastic. I had two girls looking after me and my UK homie. I believe they were Oromo.

Ambassador is good for large conferences, weddings but not ideal for singles and city lovers. There is nothing happening there.

Maansoor Hotel is the best.

I've been to Ambassador recently on my last visit and it looks so tacky. Its been 'Somali-ised' if you know what I mean. The ambience wasn't great and neither was the environs. I first visited years ago when it was nearly new and over the years they've added bits which bring the whole place down.

A relative just came back from SL and DJibouti.
When asked about his trip, he liked Sl because of the weather but found the food absolutely disgusting.
According to him when it comes to food SL ain't got nothing on Djibouti.
Even the most famous and talked about hotels in SL couldn't come close to the street vendors in Djibouti.

I am sorry but he is not the first person to have mentioned Somaliland's food leaves a lot to be desired.

i was in SL few months ago and food is amazing. The top restaurants and hotels are amazing too
