Xaarsade. The Somali language was already written before jahiil Afweyne came along.

Afweyne owed Abdullahi Ciise, a Sacad, who kept him on as Chief of Police. He begged Abdullahi Ciise's mother who was Marexan to talk Abdullahi to keep him as his job. His mother asked her son to help out the Gabarharrey Jahiil who drove a beat up LandRover. Without Abdullahi Ciise, Afweyne would have been directing traffic in Gedo.

Marexan are has beens. Without Afweyne, u'd be regulated to stealing cattle and collecting resin of acacia trees to trade with your fellow OROMOs.

Everything Marexan got not through hard work or merit but through robbing, stealing and plundering. As with all that is acquired through xaraan, you paid for it dearly.

All of the Marexan Janans and soldiers failed to keep Afweyne in power. They fled all the way to Gedo instead of fighting before someone asked where the Jalle was. Confused, suffering from Alzehiemers and bewildered Afweyne and a few diehard rer Koshiin were holed up in Villa Somaliya before he escaped in a Water Tank truck.

The saddest part was when the USC broke into Villa Somalia. The Marexan had left all of their wounded men behind and their groans/cries were heard for many hours. Imagine just abandoning your men like that Sad

All this was a taste from 1 small qabiil who in November 1989 swore on the blood of their dead children, women and men massacred in cold blood in Docol, Xingood, Hobyo, Galkacyo, Wargaale and other hamlets in Mudug that Afweyne would be overthrown. General Caydiid Allahu Naxaristo left India to join the USC. CabdiQeybdiid left China to fight. Every Sacad businessman both in Somalia and outside Somalia gave all that he had to the fight. We even let Maxamed Siyaad that what he did to our people who not go unpunished. My uncle told Afweyne point blank "Siyaad, sheekada Mudug ma ku eego."

11 months later, they succeeded. The Marexan, Majeerten and any war criminal fled as the forces of the United Somali Congress captured Mogadishu.

Bitter sweet victory !

I am proud to have made Ilkoyaars like you homeless.

Very Happy Laughing Laughing
