I've been through it. Its absolutely horrible and truth be told it does affect You. At the same time You cannot leave to take a pay cut preferably. Whatever the salary is that You have that is Your market value and You must insist on that being Your benchmark and not go below it.

I had a job like that. Woke up and decided I can't...and came here. Now I'm livin la vida loca. Not really lol, but I am far more happy and at peace than I would have been back in Canada.
