If he has to be a man about it, then it would only be fair to tell her that she is not his type simply because of her looks, and I don't think you can sugar-coat delivering that message (especially when it's something she cant alter/work on and has no control over it), so yeah, some guys 'lack the guts" :comeon:

Why does he have to bring up her looks if he wants to let her down? He could easily say, we are not on the same page, you're not what I am looking for in a partner. He can make excuses without making her feel bad about her looks.
