The amount of southerners who will say to you they are from "Borama" but actually hail from a southern community is shocking. You can always
suss one out by just asking them their direct lineage and they will go around making excuses like I came here to make cambuulo or something.
Hopefully Hargeisa won't suffer from this problem in the near future.

You'll find southerners everywhere even to this day.

I met 3 families who were living in the small town of Duruqsi in 2007. Very nice families. They fled from the Ethiopian onslaught and first got to Burco and from there to southern Togdheer. They moved back to Mogadishu in 2011.

Until the political issues between Somaliland and Somalia are solved non Somalilanders shouldn't get citizenship but after I wouldn't mind to be honest.

The biggest problems in SL are not Somalis from Somalia but the Oromo hordes from across the border.

Somaliland and Somalia are two different countries. Caanaha iyo biyaha haysku qasin sxb. With that said I don't mind Somalis living wherever they want in the Somali peninsula. For instance my great grandmother she was Marexan and she was reer Berbera. She was originally from Ethiopia but she was born and raised in Berbera and today she's buried in Hargeysa. She lived in SL prior to independence during the British administration, she lived there when we gained independence and after independence when SL united with Somalia.

Today we have a different situation but that doesn't mean Somalis from Somalia should be expelled. Our beef is with the politicians from Somalia and if they come to SL their destination will be Mandheera prison.

Nothing comes over hargesia it will soon be under mogadishu, our nation capitol, every city in somalia will unless the capitol is moved.
