I almost scrapped with a Xabashi business owner

Postby AbdiJohnson » Sun Jul 27, 2014 6:09 pm

There is this dudes business that I use everyday but I hate how he opens at whatever time he wants. He opens hours late and sometimes closes the store in the middle of his shift. I repeatedly told him to be respectful of his customers and the community he serves. I told him this isn't Africa; you must open and close at the times you've indicated on your door and online. He doesn't listen. He keeps doing this.

So instead of leaving my house and finding out later he's closed, I block my number and call him to see if he responds. If he does, I don't respond. I just hang up and go on my way to him.

I've done this probably 40 times, half the time he doesnt respond meaning he hasnt opened or he closed in the middle of the day.

Anyways I do it today and he answers. I do my routine and hang up and go. The dude realizes its me. I would come within 10 minutes everytime. As soon as I enter, he shouts at me and says why I would call and never talk.

I told him it wasnt me then he bans me from his store. I told him whatever, I was your only loyal customer anyway. His fits were up and mine too but a customer came in so we stopped.

He looked offended and hurt but whatever.

I am,

Abdi "I should of boycotted him from day 1" Johnson

What do you buy from there ? Shouldn't you be supporting Somali business too.

You should picket him next week and give him horrible reviews online as payback.

What a asshole. What's worse is he just makes the Xabashi people look bad. Anyway, I would've decked him myself provided he threw the first punch. Never punch someone first because they might just claim it was an act of self defence. I've been screwed over by the system.

Unprofessional behavior, there are many stores closed during Ramadan just because the majority of their customers are Muslim. They should be considerate to nonfasters and non-Muslims.

This is Canada.
