Anyway having noticed that i've had an account since 08 although i was on and off with my activity level till probably early last year, i honestly think my time being here wasn't a waste at all...
-Throughout student life it's been a good source of time-kill; instead of being dumb on social networks like my peers who now look back and cringe at the site of their childishness, i learnt anything and everything there is to know about being Somali. For example, i was 17 and already knew about Piracy it's causes and concerns and foreign policies towards it, my teachers were amazed that i could discuss this with them whilst my friends barely cared about anything beyond kicking a ball and toying with bunsen burners.
-Due to the average age here being roughly 24-28 most folk are sensible and display higher levels of writing and argument skills which rubbed off on me, i developed better structure in my writing ability and learnt to conduct myself with better composure..
-Trolls and qabiilists gave me tougher skin so i learnt to combat people both in the virtual world and in reality in a professional manner.
-In a constantly changing world where reality can get difficult and stressful, i always had this place to find anonymous isolation and make use of, be it trivial stuff or useful stuff. Nowadays, Snet is the best place i can come to if i have a social dilemma where i'd like public opinion on..
All in all, Snet has helped me mature a lot faster than possible, i don't think i've ever gained an enemy here or becoming spiteful towards anyone..I thank you all for your contributions..
