What is the gist of the story? I don't have 15 minutes to watch it. If people drowned, AUN to the people.

His Somali, I can understand maybe every third word. Is it May May or what?

Asylum seekers and boat people are pawns in the political landscape of Australia. They have been used as political scapegoats for decades. The current Australian government got into power solely on the basis of stopping the boats. They don’t take to kindly to them unfortunately

no surprise there Australia waligoodba weey jiir dili jireen qaxootiga Somalida doonta ku imaado coz they know they come from a dysfunctional country whose government will not stand up for them compared to other government which wouldn't allow mistreatments of their citizens. This was happening way back (the Howard era). AUN to those who drowned. But if you gonna take the risk to travel on boat for dayz then you should be prepared to come to terms with death, so those who lost loved ones i say to them stop whinning.

Bella,
Hadii lagu dihi lahaa you have the choice to swap places with one of those masakiins (meaning they will be allowed in Australia and you on the other hand, stripped off ur citizen and depart to elsewhere) would you do it? :D

Aussies are the worst English speaking people. Very racist, and not so refined.

LoL i was watching this video a couple yrs ago from Australia....
This cadaan lady was complaining about how 'Abdi's' were flooding Australia and this was leading to shortage of water or something.

Jabuutawi: I think its xamari dialect, the subtitle is there for a reason. The video is about the harsh treatment of asylum seekers by the Australian officials.

Oxidant: Spot on mate, the Australian government is a puppet show.

Gamer: Not all Australian's are racist, there are decent ones... ain't nothing wrong the aussie english, we do get a point across so I don't see what the big fuss is about with the language. :)

Farhan: No! I didn't come through the back doors so why should I give up my citizen that easily?

GB: I think he is acting up to escape the detention centre due to traumatic experience of the whole water journey

The word "fair dinkum" is abused in this debate.

Didn't Abbot's ancestors hop on a boat as well? :S
