banaadir region should stand up for its rights!
It seems that dam jadids policy for this region is to continue appointing an affiliated governor through a presidential decree so they can infiltrate in the local districts and power of banaadir bc they are afraid of elections that may bring local businessmen!
This is againist the interests of the locals
Its a good time for president hassan to consider banaadir like the other regions where the mayor is elected other wise this situation will continue under other presidents!
This because if the somali president is not from the locals they will be in a hard position as he will impose on them his guy even if he's a local
Secondly, only a native mayor can come through elections!
By the constitution, every somali can be a candidate since its the capital though they will not be able to win as not being deegaan.

Banadir people the indigenous people of the region need to be given some political privileges Mogadishu though the capital of the republic. But banadir region should be for the indigenous people. Though its hard to separate the 2 , but it can be done with the right politicians.
Re: banaadir region should stand up for its rights!
No problem if it stays as one region and the capital of somalia but the natives should be given the right to elect their governor like the other regions
If hassan sheekh did not change this now they will pay the price when a non native president gets elected as he will continue the same traditions
Also by elections, a non natives will not be able to win districts to avoid these who want it be a clan representation(4.5)

Re: banaadir region should stand up for its rights!
The next governor of Banaadir will come from one man one vote. So i don't see how DJ can appoint anything.

You do realize Mungaab is more aligned to Sharif Ahmed than he is to Damaljadiid. Xasan. Sheikh was given three Candidates to choose from and all three were of the same background. It's not like Damajadiid had a choice.

Re: banaadir region should stand up for its rights!
Lol that's new to me, all I know is these ikhwans share cross-interests and can be loyal to any ruling faction, I guess most of his commissioners do.Osob101 wrote:You do realize Mungaab is more aligned to Sharif Ahmed than he is to Damaljadiid. I don't think he will, after all his mentor Sharif Ahmed is expected to be running.Khalid Ali wrote:Osob i heard rumors muungaab wants to run for president 2016 is that true
Sahal
Mungaab is not a Damaljadiid neither an Ikhwan.

I'm not talking about the general elections just the local electionsGIJaamac wrote:The next governor of Banaadir will come from one man one vote. So i don't see how DJ can appoint anything.
Banadir has a governorship system and its the president who would appoint the governor by decree, this system is against the interests of the locals.
Re: banaadir region should stand up for its rights!
is not sheekh sharif the original ikhwan? What about muungaab studying in sudan through islah scholarship? Not true? What was the leader of dj was doing at his inauguration party? He is not an official!.Osob101 wrote:I don't think he will, after all his mentor Sharif Ahmed is expected to be running.Khalid Ali wrote:Osob i heard rumors muungaab wants to run for president 2016 is that true

You don't understand now. Both district commissioners and the governor of banaadir will be elected through one man one vote. Muungaab himself confirmed this.sahal80 wrote:I'm not talking about the general elections just the local electionsGIJaamac wrote:The next governor of Banaadir will come from one man one vote. Ikhwan aka Muslim Brotherhood= Damauljadiid bankrolled by Qatar.
Sharif Ahmed is being supported by UAE and KSA and thus the reason one of his wives lives in a Villa provided for and paid by Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
I thought you were the somalinet resident political analyst and by now knew what's going on and the political games taking place for the 2016 elections

Sharifs group are the only group who offically carried the name al ikhwan al muslimoon and with this name they use to attend in the somali islamist reconciliations in sudan at the invitation of haasan al turabi by the early 90s hence why the other rival group carries the name al islaax to avoid ala sheekhs official name and then they adopted the name al xaraka al islamiya(islamic movement to claim exclusivity as the truth representer of the islamic movement(name thats exlusive for the main ikhwan group, for example in in sudan al turabi group use this name since they are bigger though they splitted from the ikhwan in the 60s) somalia
Al islah was founded in 1979 in saudi arabia by 5 guys: 3 awkhutub from ethiopia, one reerow hassan and one cabdi yuusuf hawadle(btw zamzam foundationis owned by another cabdi yuusuf who's affiliated with al islaax)
Now the reerow hassan have splitted from sheekhaal and founded dj
Al islaax is dominated by awkhudub except cali bashi who's loobage bc there has been a split between awkhutub due to a local clan split in raaso bc of abdi ileey dividing them by supporting the minority jufo wich sheikh garyare the islaax founder hails from and he sided with his jufo, this has caused a split between him and dr ali dheere, dasuuqi who back the big jufo that's anti-ileey
During the carto conference, the reerow hassan have splitted from the rest of sheekhaal and this has reflected on those in the sheekhaal dominated al islaax so they splitted and led the marginalized laandheer clans in al islaax
Dj had since then two reerow hassan leaders but their mufti is sheekh nuur baaruud who's OG
Forget about qatar vs UAE, they were one group initially and there are still offerts to unite them
Farah abdulqadir was belonging to a kenyan branch back then and chairing the kuwait based african muslim agency, after the split, he took with him all the financial sources of al islaah
Though he wasn't the leader of dj, bc of his financial roles he dominated the movement
He moved to mogadishu and he made guuleed the director of the local branch sso he can protect the institution
Before SIMAD he and hassan sheekh met at ahmed gurey school in hodan, hassan was a teacher of accountance in there
In SIMAD they formed their political party.
It was said that the man who sent mungaab with other students to african international university in sudan is the current dj leader hence why they have some connections!
This sheekh is one of the 5 founders of al islah, from cabdi yuusuf. His granfather is the founder of jameeca sheekh bashiir village around jowhar. he's called sheekh ahmed rashid sheekh xanafi sheekh basheer, was born in the village
