Barwanis r foreign 2 me, the only barawani exposure I have seen is the universal tv owners and their insults towards sl.
other than that I dont have a clue about their culture. I also know that they look arab.

Barwaanis generally despise SL , there was one barwaani guy who called in on universal tv who insulted reer Somaliland.

There was this barwaani guy in hargeysa he fled when the Hutus went ape on them down in south, But he was dawaare , one day he was talking to some person in hargeysa and he said something like maxa idinka sheegisina layn layn dadiku wa Somaliaa, an askari heard him he was arrested and he was detained for six hours he said he was sorry and he would never say it again.

Hodan one day i was going to London with the boat i met this Barwaani man in his mid 40s he first talked about normal things about the life as a qurbawi but later the political subject came. He was very against the warlords this was just before the islamic courts union. He talked about the past as how he was an university graduate of Mogadishu, and he missed the old republic. He said idinka reer wokhoowji waxaad u goosanesin wamaxaey. He started we were killed to bla bla but we want Somalia. I was like adigu xageed goosan karta horta aad ba goosatid than he laughed very hard  He was a nice man but very anti SL but who cares they are point.5 any ways they also have good people i used to play football for, back in the days in Somalia they were known as Drug smugglers.
