We don't need to have multiple Mogadishus or whatever, Somalis always want to copy, Kismaayo has always been the alternative to Mogadishu, people don't want the same thing.

We actually do need Kismayo to become a much larger city. A big city gives you increased political power. It also helps raise the living standards of the previously nomadic people. It creates demand for many products spurring the development of a real economy. Urbanization in the long run is always better. It also makes government more accountable because people in cities expect services.
