"Sxb your suffering from cultural illiteracy and you don't have the rich cultural and political horizons as mine so how can we debate? "

That's exactly my point you are simply a Mutakabir madax adeeg. I won't get into an argument about who has a richer cultural background.

Dubai is in a rich neighborhood with rich partner Emirates and they over leveraged themselves in too much debt. They created a playground for rich Gulf people and anybody who wants to park their money in a duty-free zone. There cannot be multiple Dubais in that region so don't hope for that.

Arabs like to blame everything on Iran when Iran is under sanctions themselves. The Gulf Arabs don't do that much for the Sunni world anyways.

Is Iran responsible for Egypt?

They don't give billions to Egypt to develop the country and economy. It's only to bribe the local Govt and control the local politics. That is OK for you since all you want is a piece of the DJ pie of musuq masuq. You don't wanna so any work.

I've been to Cairo many times and it doesn't look it has serious investment for their economy or industry.

In fact, the Suez duty free project was provably scrapped by Sis in exchange for getting support for the UAE.

The Gulf only supported Egypt with billions of dollars to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood from taking over. There's no support for economic development.

A powerful Egypt with big industry and good economy would reduce the influence of the Gulf.

As Khalid has been able elucidate......there are far too many variables /unknowns to make predictions on Somalia's oil/gas.
I think we can all agree Somalia is many years away from producing oil/gas. :)

European and Asian companies (Total, Fin, BP, EXXONMobil, Petronas, CNOC) all have oil fields in countries

The Arabs don't develop oil outside of their countries.

sahal80 thinks Soma Oil can develop oil fields. They can't!! All they are doing is getting data in order to attract big players. If the big players don't come then there is no point.

How will the big players come when the global price of oil is so low??

That's kinda my point. If it's only about oil why don't they bring Iran online and stabilize Iraq?? Those guys have PROVEN oil reserves.

Even if Somalia can produce oil, are you relying on the existing political establishment to be able to develop a country with oil wealth??

There has to a political consensus in Somalia before anybody will see any benefit of oil except for a few people looking to make quick deals.

Yeah......there is no doubt the lack of political leadership & vision will greatly hamper petroleum development.
The problem is.....every new batch of politicians need to make money fast...1-2 years max.
Then it starts all over again. :)

Yeah so why do Somalis think they can outsmart the rest of the world?

Somalis need to build up their intellectual capacity, knowledge and technical expertise otherwise they have nothing to offer the world.

When you have nothing to offer and bring nothing to the table you will be exploited

Our friend the "analyst"....exemplifies all that is wrong with the Somali polity.
Instead of working with Somali's to restore sovereignty and dignity...they run to foreign capitals trying to out beg/ outdo each other.
One day it's Igad...the next it's the gulf Arabs...and on another day it's the West.

Do you remember the day Ethiopia got all Somali politicians to sit under their flag in Jigjiga.
The disgrace was not that they were celebrating Ethiopian control over the Somali zone,
it was the fact that these "leaders" couldn't agree to meet anywhere in Somalia. :snoop:

Out-begging each other is the key phrase.

Just because you wear a suit and get an official delegation treatment doesn't hide the fact that we have become a nation of beggars with very low standards.

your either f-king thick or lier!

In one of your previous posts you said that why I'm comparing soma oil&gas with shell

I referred you to this link and said to you see where it says: where the investors/oil companies meet the somali decision makers

This means is just hosts and her contract is about exploring it and promiting it not producing it!!

Now your still saying sahal thinks soma can develop oil!! Waa cajabaah!!

Typical reer mudug!

Its very clear that you have no clue of this file and what's the relationship between soma and these companies

You know soma is not producing it but you don't know that it promotes this business for companies like shell!

Soma has the exclusive oil exploration, when the results were announced-at this stage they done 1500km wich is from bari to kismayo- oil producing companies have to enter this from the SFGs gate and there will be a new energy legislations that the companies will follow!

I have been posting this nearly a year like shell landing after

This is the link I was reffering 24/7, the oil exploring companies
Somalia Oil & Gas Summit 2014 http://www.somalia-oil-gas.com/

This is about the oil producing companies

Always looking for the next scheme. Ya sha7aat!!!

If Somalia is gonna start exporting oil in 6 years don't you think there would already be equipment building basic infrastructure for wells??

Do you know at this oil price who would be crazy to take on that sort of investment??

Even if Somalia had OIL, it wouldn't make sense economic sense right now for investors.

Oil is trading at $40 a barrel now and could even go much lower than that. If they didn't do it while oil was $150 a barrel, what makes anyone think they would come now?

These somali british-made hunter jets were from the arabs

Learn about the geopolitics!

You have no worries of arabs attacking you but the blacks are occuping you right now bc of ethiopia!

If somalia plays its cards rightly and not becomes a terrorist state than the arabs will strongly involve in her

Now your just a victom of the ethiopian made terror to isolate somalia!.
