Is Celebrity basically Idol worship?

Is it a form of idol worship? People will put their favourite sports star, singer, actor whatever pictures in their room. They will buy weird memorabilia and will go to their concerts, events which in a way is to worship these celebs. Look at Kim Khardashian why do so many women look up to her? She is famous for nothing but filth and wasakh but a lot of people will follow this persona just because she is talked about everywhere.

if only people knew how shit these celebrity's lives were, they wouldn't have their pictures on their walls.. its all a sham created by the West because their godless values only concentrate on immediate and not there here after...

I find it strange when even some so called serious news programs report some minor antics of dhoocils so called celebrity as their lead headline.I think there is an agenda there

If you're really interested, read Freud's "Group Psychology and the Analysis of the Ego"....disregard the daunting title, the content can be understood by a 10 year old.

Celebrity worship and why an individual would waste time by tuning in to a show about famous personalities spending millions and having fun while they themselves toil a 12 hour work day to earn minimum wage might make sense.
