I expect mogadishu to be the next algiers in 5 years!

Post by sahal80 »

Hope that you know some thing about the algeria of the 90s when this country was under strong islamist wave as a result of calmanism in the institution to the point they hardly speak arabic but after they targeted the normal people in every where-though the generals were behind many of these operations to scare the people as revealed in the book "la sale guerre" by one of the generals who fled the country-

Syrian regime is doing the same thing nowadays but this stuff is no more secret, too late lol

The other side of the problem comes from the lack of strong institutions as many people would love to depend on al shabab instead of depending on a weak govt that can't secure their interests

For example if the soldiers get paid regularly their good wages they won't target the people!

So the solution to this problem is fighting the corruption and getting funds for every institution

Alhamdolilah we the southreners have no clan problems, we have kick out the warlords 10 years ago but we have being suffering from the terrorism phenomenon

This is because of the jahl-al cilm nour wa al jahl zolam-

However, there r a lot of promising things that shows the society will get changed and they r these many schools and universities

Each university produces over 600 students per year

So in 10 years, the society will radically change and in 5 years law and order will prevail with a large diaspora populations being part of this

Turkey has bulit and is building
School of engineering
Nursing school
Civil aviation school
Fishery school

City university aka heritage will be the best university in somalia and its planned to be the alternative for the asian universities

During their time in power, ala sheeikh have come up with some projects to the turkish agencies who fund them

One of them is the school of yusuf al kawnayn- but now they r planning to move the university here

Education is useless if graduates won't use their skills to get employed and contribute. Is there even a single Engineering firm in Hamar?

Yeah true. We need foreign investment, we need international firms relocating to Mogadishu. There's no use in having thousands of engineers who can't find employment due to the lack of job-creation and investment. Somalia needs to attract foreign firms to the country, and the only way we can do that is if we have a strong Judicial System (which currently doesn't exist), a strong property-rights framework, the rule of law, stability, easy access to electricity, minimal-to-moderate taxation, and decent monetary policy.

Hassan Sheikh should focus on this once the country is stabilized, but I doubt the dhoqoons who run our Government can see this far.

No need to swear, I am just pointing out facts. You said it was a nursing school which wasn't true, then you stated the second one was an engineering school which again was wrong. And now you said the second picture is engineering high school and there is no such thing

Education is the cornerstone of any developed society. 10's of thousands of Somalis graduate from College or Universities every year and if only fraction of that were to return to their country to, Somalia could very well become the jewel of Africa.

So basically you under turkish colonization?

They're teaching you their language. They're building a few schools and hospitals and in return they get your natural resources. :snoop:

lets hope so sahal

however as you well know mogadishu alone isnt somalia and the differences between somalia and algeria are a lot for example despite the civil wars of both nations starting at the same time in early 90s, the algerian conflict lasted for only 10 years until 2002 whereas somalia's conflict is 24 years and counting. another example is that algeria doesnt claim to be in an illegal union with another country unlike somalia (vis a vis somaliland) nor has the society to have long term disintegration

ps how are u akhi :)

You're speaking English right now? Are you under English colonization?

Somalia needs to adapt, and if they need to learn a language to get exposed to new ideas or technology there's nothing wrong with it.
