Abdi, I agree Somalis run Ottawa, but do you think Somalis in Edmonton and Calgary suffer from reer uk-itis? I see a lot of the "ya akhi" type ones. One even replied to someone talking about banning qabilism in Somalia by saying "who cares about that, we need to focus on more pressing issues like the our brothers getting discriminated here in Canada just cuz they're Arab".

I nearly threw up.

We have our fair share of "ya akhi" Somalis here, but mainly they stick to only themselves and don't interact with Arabs unless they're fully assimilated into the wider Somali social circle. #613Anthropology

I am not hear to compare two Western countries. That's silly. The UK is a great place but unfortunately inhabited by a shameless community. Only a few decent people come from the Somali community like my good friend Hydrogen. I wonder when he will come back to Snet; he's on a hiatus.
