Ducks are no pests, nor considered dirty in any culture, nor are they scavengers, nor tho they have teeth, nor talons.

Duck, like goose and chicken, if slaughtered right, is halal.

An nawawi and Ibn Qudamah both said. So both the Shafi'i and Hanbali heavy weights. Also the Hanafi's say its halal.

Based on the principle, all things are halal unless a proof is given (quran ayah or hadeeth) to show its haram in Dunya afairs. Not in belief where tis opposite.

So since no hadeeth or ayah mentions ducks, its halal if slaughtered right.
