But you're a proud Somalilander, so why can't I be a proud Puntlander? I don't see you trolling the Somaliland section. :?
You can be proud of whatever you want walaal, but can I ask you, are you proud to be a Somali from Somalia or only a proud Puntlander?

I once asked this Puntland guy if he was proud of Somalia, he quickly responded NO, but then I asked him if he was proud of Puntland, which he gladly answered with YES. That's twisted since Puntland is a state of Somalia :-O ? I knew damn well if I started a discussion with him it would be fruitless, you can't learn an old dog new tricks. I just brushed it off my shoulders and went back to minding my business.
He is probably a proud supporter of the Puntland Independence Movement (PIM) like I am.

When you ask me if I'm proud of Somalia, you might as well ask me if I'm proud of Somaliland, Djibouti, NED, or Zone 5. They are all equal to me. Unfortunately, gooni isu taaga Dal Udug is not the current policy of the Puntland government so Puntland will remain part of Somalia for the foreseeable future. There is no contradiction in being proud of Puntland but not Somalia. The contradiction is in having to reluctantly support a government that does not share all of my political views.

Nothing hateful about my posts, I just write what comes to my mind. Although I should've refrained from using the term"shithole", I give you that. Xamud next time please delete such posts instantly if they contain vulgar words. Thank you for you work walaal  . Besides this thread is inciteful, like most clan threads are.

Yes, there is a perpetual need here to disassociate ourselves from the south. Though I'd hope this is less out of racism and more due to our need to be proud of our diversity. Even before the time of Aksum we were made up of numerous tribes and varying confederations.

Let's bask in the glory that is Somali and everything our culture has to offer as a whole.

Somalia was "Hal" for 31 years of our history. All that's left is Italian Somaliland, a union forced on my people for all of 13 years. Why should I act like that's my true history? Centralism is a concept introduced to Somalis by the colonial powers and I will not respect it. We must return to our true history and dissociate ourselves from this fiction feed to us by Europeans. :MJ:

Hi sulfur..

Xamud and sulfur I don't appreciate people claiming my great grandfather's lands. My forefathers worked hard so we could have a land of our own. If they wanted to us to share the lands they could have settled in Muqdisho. It's like a dutch person going to Belgium.

What I meant is language isn't enough of a reason to keep Somalia united.

I totally agree. Central Government was a failure and it will ALWAYS be a failure for Somalis.

The best thing we can hope for, is to create some sort of Association of Somali States, where each autonomous Somali state pursues it's own policies and has their own regional government. Perhaps we can share a currency, military, and other important things.

But the days of Mogadishu controlling the entire nation is over. Somalis won't stand for that.

I can get behind that.

Any attempt at trying to create a centralized government in Somalia will lead to the complete disintegration of the union. No one will stand for it.

I don't think any Somali should be refferred to as a "refugee". It don't matter if you are Darood,Issaq, Hawiye or anything else, if you are a law abiding citizen you should be more than welcome to live and work in Puntland, but if are hoodlum or a Alshabab sympathizer whos looking for nothing but trouble then you should be dealt with, regadless of you tribe, native Puntlanders who cause trouble are just as bad as none Puntlanders.

Somali civilians should be welcomed to live in all parts of dhulka somaliyeed, thats my taken on it.
Well said xamud...

Irregardless of qabiil, any somali person has a birth right to settle anywhere in puntland..no questions asked besides once legimate intentions of seeking to settle in the said location.

For all i care those that live in galmudug can move freely undisturbed and in peace anywhere between gaalkacyo ilaa the borders of ceerigaabo bila hadal..and no darood man or woman has a right that no other somali has besides the administration of puntland..

Somalinimo and siyaasad are two different tectonic plates...
