Don't Forget Charity in this Holy Month of Ramadan

Postby gegiroor » Fri Jun 19, 2015 2:05 am

As part of the many good deeds to collect in this holy month of Ramadan, please don't forget to donate generously to those in need. After you help your closest relatives who are in need, the next group of people are your fellow Muslims, in particular the Somali Muslims. And in Somalia, the suffering is huge. Please donate to them generously.

The reward is double :blessed: sha allah I will increase my sadaqa this month, for some reason when I give to my immediate family it doesn't seem sadaqa to me more like doing what's wajib on me but I feel good when I give it to strangers or masjids

Keep doing it, Chelseaforever, and don't forget many folks backhome who are in need. On my end, I look for people who are collecting money for backhome and I give it to them.

Thanx!

^ I agree. I hate to feel good after giving zakat tbh because it takes away from the feeling of doing something good. Altruism is difficult, if it even exists. But inshaAllah, I will continue to give what I can to the hungry kids.

We give afur every day to an old lady who lives next door. It's sad that her children don't take care of her, subxanallah, but she doesn't have to worry about not having enough to afur with since we moved in.
