Its very nice of Waceysle to give up one seat in Ceeldheer to Tumaal . In Reality if i were Murusade, i would be pissed, How did a direct child of Karanle Hawiye get 11 seats in probably the only federal state, they will have relevance in?
Osob Oday Xaad is partially responsible of this division so i guess hes kool with it.

Karanle hawiye is four, we all know Waadeerre Karanle (Murusade) live in Somalia but where are the other four ? they all live in western Somalia Ethiopia, and for what i heard they tare not doing bad they rule their own deegaans.

The way i see it actually is that seats were divided not as Hawiye or Darood but on Sub Sub Clan Level and Marehan as the only significant Darood Clan as of now in agreement to join the state has to get a very nice deal to agree. The equation would have been quite different had Omar Mohamoud and the othet Daroods showed up than inevitably Marehan would have been affected. In the long term reer Cheese played a political Genius in my Book. The Biggest Looser i actually see in this Drama is Murusade. The Presidency will either go to Sacad and Salebaan that is unless Ceyr somehow manages to get in bed with Marehan and Murusade and steal a few waceysle on the way LOL

Karanle might live in Ethiopia but Murusade as a Clan lives entirely within Somalia and their main degaan is Galgadud and am baffled as to how they let this go knowing how much they even hate Xasan Sheikh. A Direct Grandson gets 12 seats while Surre gets 8? Are u kidding me

the biggest loser is Madhibaan. They got 3 seats. I think 6 would have been reasonable.

Always getting short changed. Rip!

Osob, Murusade got a great deal.

Leave us Surre out of this will you,why not mention the other non Habargidir clans that got more seats than they deserve?

It ain't like the Galgudud Murusade live anywhere besides degmada Ceelbuur which they share with Duduble.

If seats are divided based on seniority of clans in the abtirsi hierarchy, they should also get more seats than Habargidir and that would be an injustice.

lol at playing political genius. War dadkaan anagaa u roonaaney ma ahanee cid ay ka caqli badanyihiin ma leh, which was a very bad decision. And no, Saleebaan have no presidential candidates. Only Ceyr, Duduble and Sacad have. Waligeen siyaasada eber aan ka ahayn. :meles:

No formula will keep everyone happy. For the record, i think the Habargidir have been noble in the way they distributed and shared seats, they could have been a lot harsher since it's their powerbase. If only they showed this display of nobility in how they behave with everything else

Lord knows beesha Mudulood and Xawaadle are way more hunguri with sharing in Banadir & Hiiraan

Surre

Can have 20 or even 30 seats as i have no issues with that, but as a clan Murusade has more Degaan and pooulation in the state, as for HG, they got played also by accepting the division based on a sub sub clan level while Marehan used a Sub Clan name to gain seats and not sub sub clan even though only a few Marehan Sub Clans live in the region.

Gijamaac

Ilmo HG pissed me of also LOL they accepted the seats as a collective Clan when they should have each as one standing alone entity like Sacad, Ceyr, Salebaan than am sure seats would have been more or maybe am just very greedy LOL

Lol@Marques

We have been short changed, and it is not like we eat in Benaadir or the Shabelles. One Canadian dude got the Xarardheere seat for Maxamed Cadde, it should've been atleast 2 seats for us, but the Cali Gaaf, Abiikar Gaab, AbdulRahman etc wouldve demanded more seats too, marka looma dhama waa laga fiican yahay sometimes.

Cid walba lama qancin karo. Kuraastaad haysato wax ku qabso.

While I highly doubt this federalism thing will work I think it shouldn't matter who gets what as long as viable system can be built from this shir but if it is an other baydhabo and kismayo thing then waa jug mahaaga joog.

The argument I made was not that Surre should get more seats. I simply stated that your use of Surre as an example in your argument that Murusade were hard done by is unwarranted for. They got more seats than us and you make it seem like we stole their seats.

As for the population of respective clans in Mudug and Galgudud, no one has done a census. Surres are disjointed in that their deegans are not continuous but that does not mean that they don't have a sizeable presence in the Central Provinces. The clan conflicts that occurred between them and a variety of clans in Mudug and Galgudud over the past decade attests to their extensive habitation.

88 MPs coming out of 7 districts is madness, waaaaaay to much, thats an average of 12 mps for every district, Somalis are in denial, qabiilka ugu yar wants to have the same share as the largest tribe, half of these degmos are not even real degmos and they are probably smaller than my backyard, we lack introspection.

The number of MPs should have been 40 at most, but of course every little sub clan and their mamas aya laa maslaxayaa oo madaxa lo salaxayaa.

What I want to know is, Galmudug\Central state claims all of Mudug yet theres not a single person from Northern Mudug in their newly established parliament, how does that work? they really didnt think this one through did they.

Actually zumaale is right, Surre have more deegaans than Murusade and Duduble in Galmudug. They are dotted across Xeraale to Bacaadwayn, Duduble live in isolated villages surrounding Ceelbuur and do not even have deegaan in upper Mudug yet they have the same number of mp's.
