Cawarmale - Common name? Lost clan?
One thing you discover if you study abtirsi is that there are a ton of clans named Cawarmaale or Cawrmale.
There is:
Cawarmale Maqare Samaale (original Cawarmale?)
Cawramaale Cismaan Garaad Ibraahim (Warsangeli Daarood)
Cawramaale Garjan Riyaale (Garjante Gardheere)
others I've forgotten...
Does anyone know what the deal is with Cawrmale? Is it a coincidence of a very common name in the past, or client clan adoption?

Cawramale? Does that mean they have no private parts or does it mean they have no camels?

Just similarity of names
I dont know the rest but theres one samaale cawramale who live in kismayo and the near by villages, these are maqare samaale, related to hawadle remotely
originally, they spread from westren hiiraan, at mustahil-bakool border area just like degodia and murule, some cawramale still live in bakool, in diinsoor
theres some inter-marriage relationship between ciise saransoor and cawramale hence why they r politically gardheere, in xamar and diaspora they r part of gardheere conferences
Theres afarta saransoor: degodia(kenya) massare(kenya) ciise and gaaljecel in jobooyinka, gaaljecel also live in hiiraan and shabeele
There is garjente the brother of saransoor, them, cawramale and ajuran havent got seats in hawiye so they joined beesha shanaaad
garjente lives in middle jubba and gedo (buaale and baardheere)
This deputy minister, sagaar is garjente

Its worth mentioning not to confuse garjen with garjente
Saransoor r considered gugundhabe maternally and politically

There are dozens of lost clans it's because they became so few and forgotten some joined others in a alliance

Re: Cawarmale - Common name? Lost clan?
garjen is the father of saransoor...gargente the brother of saransoorBlueBlood wrote:what is the difference?sahal80 wrote:James

![]()
its like afarta hebel iyo adeerkood
Gaaljecel are part of hawiye garjente part of beesha shanaad...same like reerow hassan and sheekhal
But the difference is it was then mp farah abdulqadir who asked for to join beesha shanaad after he splitted from the sheekhal dominated al islah group... aw qudub have joined hawiye since they were behind abdi qasim(carta conference) loobaga were already hawiye
hawiye did not give seats to cawramale, ajuran and garjente..half of the seats have gone to hiraab
Hawadle and gaaljecel bc they need them!

Re: Cawarmale - Common name? Lost clan?
The actual name is Cawr though not Cawar
Even though that's how it's spelt in the thread title

Re: Cawarmale - Common name? Lost clan?
Not the same as the arabic word "cawro" its cowr and maale(the maker of cowr)..some clans have the same suffix just as maal...it could mean carmaale or awrmaale (camel men)
Cowramale r one of the oldest clans.
