All Somalis are your brothers and Sisters

Postby Sumubaridi » Mon Mar 21, 2016 7:08 am

Last night, I was at the mosque after maqrib. It was getting dark and my house is far away from the mosque and its a little bit risky to walk to the bus stop at that time. So I asked an adeer friend at the mosque to give me a ride home. He asked me what happened to the car and I told him its in the garage and they are trying to fix but do not know the problem. He told me, he has spair car in his house so he drove me to his house and gave me a car to use till my car get fixed. The Adeer is Majeerteen and I am habargidir. We only known each other in the mosque. I trusted me with his car, and insurance. I can get into an accident with it and kill someone or make a huge damage. He does not even know if am a good driver. All he saw was his son that needed a car. Another example, when I was changing my name, I needed 2 witnesses. I call a cousin but could not find another person. A friend of my roommate who had work that day offered to call his work late to go with me to the court as a witness. I wanted to give him $20 for lunch since he could not go with us to lunch but he refused. He is Ogaden.

Regardless of what haters tried to spread here, Somalis are walaal. When you see a Somali who needs your help, you careless of his qabil. You see him as a brother.

Somalida marmar aniga shock aan kaqadaa waxay sooqorayaan. You would think in meesha lugu kala tagay oo aan dib danbe laysku salaamayn. Then a day later, here they are wanting to die for each other. In Kenya, if 2 clans hate each other, they will even hate each other in school dormitories, church and work. You will here all day that is a kikuyu he hates me because I am Luo. Or that is a Turkana and he hates me because I am pokot.

All Somalis are kin, and that is a fact. We all realise that on some level, which is why despite all the clan animosities we still have love for each other.

Those Kenyan tribes most likely do not even speak the same languages, they have their own languages and different racial makeup. From the Nilotic kenyans, the Nilotic Cushitic mixes, the Bantus, the Bantu Nilotic mix, the Bantu Arab and Cushitic mix and so on. Whereas all Somalis from the Major tribes are just of the same ethnicity and racial makeup.

This is normal, if someone actually judge you based on your qabil that shit would be beyond repugnant.
Funny thing is, i might be judged on here based on how i address politics, but in the real world...siyasad doesn't interfere with my life.
Most of my friends are Darood, and I don't even know how that came to be. Kaba daran Majority are Majeerteen and Dhulbahante.
But two of my closest homeboys are actually Isaaq and Xaawadle and that is something some people on here might not quite understand.

How many people have we helped, or say have helped us simply for being Somali? This is why were strong. The Waryaa component is what unites us.
Even if we had different nations, and we happen to ran into each on Mars, you'd be my nigga

You weren't covered under his insurance were you? What if you had got into an accident? I would never mess with the law. Fudge that. Sorry to rain on your parade but if it's like the UK, that was a silly move by the adeer.

I think things are different across the pond. With them it's the vehicle that is insured and not the driver. So as long as the insurance is currant on the car, anybody with a driving license can drive it.

That is true. Most of the Somali youths have someone else insure their car since its expensive to be younger driver. If faciyaadu billah I get into an accident, all that the police will ask would be do you have insurance? are you the owner of this vehicle. He will then run the car plate to make sure it has not been reported stolen.

Adeer touched my heart. The car has a handle problem and insha allah will fix it for him before I return it. Its a gentleman thing to do.
