I agree Hawiye are given a free ride due to nostalgia, and history.
We should see things through the prism of self interest.

Its very simple ..
Are you for or against somaliland?
If you are for then you are a friend.
If you are against you are an enemy.
If you are undecided , you are a future freind or enemy and we need to convince/entice seduce you .

You understand the game.

One should not be an ally by default simply because there once was small cooperation or "your enemy is my enemy".

There has to be more deeper purpose.

How simple? SL is built on a political fib based on the premise that the war was Konfur vs. Waqooyi instead of the truth: Issaq vs. Harti + Gadabursi + Afweyne loyalist Issaq. This fib was become ingrained in the young generation as a convenient way of avoiding the ugly truths: MSB had strong support among significant portions of the North, Afweyne loyalists become key power brokers, and the only true core that support SL are just Issaq while the rest of the clans in the North are either against or intimidated into buying into the project called SL.

As for Hawiye, last I checked it was the Hawiye who dismantled the SNA and allowed the SNM to roll into Hargeisa and elsewhere long after the toppling of Barre.

So the question now is are you going to buy into the fallacy that the Harti, Gadabursi and Issa are true allies while the Hawiye are the enemy? A resurgent Darood regime in the South will definitely deploy resources to squash the Issaq seccessionists while a Hawiye one will at most engage in verbal bellicose.

So Gurey, do you trust your fate in the hands of the Jeberti or even your fellow Dir: Gadabursi especially after what the Issaq did to them yet your Uncle Silaanyo opposed doing to the Harti?

You seriously need to go out more often, I don't think I ever read such pointless diatribe defecated by a somewhat 50 looking Oromo-Xabashi cross breed.

Don't you have any grand children to play with? or your own kids? You take this place way to seriously, if I was doing what you are doing in that age, I would go into chronic depression and utter despair at my shameful state, war ninyahow wax isku fal, this is embarrassing.
