That's biggest under estimate I ever seen there is 3 million somali people in diaspora 1 million have to be at least from somaliland dahabshiil alone transfers 2 billion to somaliland and italia somalia almost half of it goes to somaliland alone what more could you want.

Water shortages and roadworks/lighting are being addressed, though progress is being done at a snail's pace. I agree that private schools need to be regulated...just because they're private doesn't mean they should be legally operating in SL.

While corruption & overall laziness play a huge role as to why development is slow, we also have to consider that the lack of recognition means that we have to do things ourselves; which means things won't change overnight, but eventually things will change for the better. As a diaspora community who play a huge role in the affairs back home, we should be obligated to pick up the tab for government projects which is why I hope a remittance tax is enforced one day.
