Hawiye/HG lost 300 (mostly civilians) in one day in Lababar in Shilabo district in Feb 2016. So compared to H-Y, Hawiye in
Ethiopia felt the brunt of the Ethiopian forces. It is important the people in the border areas arms themselves to the teeth
and always be in guard from now on. It is times like this where you need SNM and USC.




"Just two months ago, the Ethiopian army massacred civilians in Dhaacdheer and Gaxandhaale villages near Galadi town in
Wardheer region, killing scores of civilians. In February 2016, the Ethiopian army and the Liyu Police militia destroyed Lababar
village near Shilaabo, killing more than 300 civilians and destroying the whole community in order to clear areas near the Jeexdin
(Calub) Gas fields. In similar aggression the Ethiopian army killed many civilians near Bur-Ukur, Ferfer, Beledwayne and Hudur areas
at the end of last year."

On 5 June 2016, the Ethiopian army swept through Jama’ Dubad, a village near Gashamo, indiscriminately opened fire on unarmed
civilians and in the ensuing bloodbath killed 51 people, among them women and children. The Ethiopian forces then torched the
village and razed it to the ground. While some of the villagers managed to escape the carnage, the Ethiopian army abducted more
than ten village elders. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Sadly, the most recent attack is but part of a seemingly wider strategy of the Ethiopian central government to terrorize and instil
fear among the population living along the country’s borders with Somalia and Kenya. Numerous attacks similar to the most recent
one have been perpetrated by the Ethiopian army over the last couple of months. For instance, Ethiopian forces together with the
infamous Liyu Police, a proxy militia, had destroyed the village of Lababar in February 2016, killing more than 300 civilians.

Liyuu failed their objective to clear the border of HG and install a more pro Ethiopia clan (Wagardhac and Bicidyahan ) so they could exploit oil in the area. Up to now Lababaar, Furintafoore, Dhacaha and Kaxandhaale are under HG Geeljires control.
As for Dhacadheer it is Galgaduud and under Galmudug control.

The people of Gashaamo should arm themselves so the next time Liyuu comes they karbaash them. No need to hand yourself to Liyuu and give soldiers to them. Liyuu waa cawaan sinjiga soomali neceb. Liyuu don't care if there are HG or isaaq soldiers within their ranks, most of them have killed their own parents and family members.

Liyuu are used to fighting unarmed children when they come across a person with a gun they get karbaashed like what happened with HG.

Reer Gaashamo need to arm themselves because only then will Liyuu fear them and their attacks will stop. Adding Isaaq soldiers to Liyuu is not a solution. This "walaalaheen Ethiopia" bullshit is also not a solution. When you karbash them; the coward attacks from Liyuu will stop.
