The Chilcot Inquiry

Postby Machiavelli2 » Wed Jul 06, 2016 11:28 pm

After 7 years investigating the role played by the British Labour Government in the Iraqi war, the report has been released and it blamed Tony Blair for starting an unnecessary and unjust war based on a lie because peaceful options weren't exhausted and after war, they also failed to develop and put in place a strategy of inclusive government among all the Iraqi different groups. We all knew that. What happens now to Blair, Bush and the leaders of their coalition? Or, since Blair has admitted and took full responsibility, it was only inntended for western powerful government's to learn a lesson from it and not to repeat these mistakes. Have your say, But;

Please debate it maturely and cease name calling towards those who might even support the invasion and blame the Iraqis for their instability.

Blood

Sorry ina adeer, I have flagged/reported your post above to the moderators to delete it, not because what you wrote are factual or not, but it will derail this thread to a Fadhi ku dirir direction. Let's only stick to this report and discus its intentions, implications and leave a debate of the similarities and differences of the Iraqi war to our civil war for another thread. Sorry again.

Lost in all this seems to be the fact that Blair said this was not about regime change at the time. This has since been his sole defence, that 'Saddam had to be removed.'

Even more lost in all this is that the only reason invading Iraq was even on the cards in the first place was because a bunch of Saudi and UAE hijackers, trained in the USA and funded by Saudi nationals, flew planes into the twin towers.

If someone had written a novel about such an implausible chain of unrelated events manipulated for a political agenda, it would've been laughed out of the publishers.

Germany have invaded Poland. This can only mean one thing. We must invade Jamaica! Fuck Blair and his cronies. Hopefully this will lead to them being endlessly legally pursued for the rest of their lives, ultimately at the Hague.
