"Ogaden" in the late 19th century didn't exist. every major subclan was doing their own thing.

The Makahil and Bah Gari were part of the Darawiish and half of the Mohamed Zubeir were dealing with Menelik while the other half + the other two big clans (Cawlyahan & Tolomoge) were deep in the Jubbas and expanding into NFD.

Ogaden were only giving priority to their sub sub clans at that time. as an Cabdalle in the 19th century I would've probably gotten more love from Isaaqs, Majeerten and Hawiyes than my C/waaq cousins who are under the same Tolomoge umbrella as me markaas baad naleedahay Ogaden giving priority to SL

The Ogaden clan is a sleeping giant. If they focus and unite against TPLF, I'm sure they would succeed. They have the manpower and a sizeable diaspora that can provide intellectual, logistical, financial and political support to achieve this.
