Like totally sxb. Injuries/deaths from guns are one of the biggest health issues facing the country according to the CDC.

Well one of the reason as it was highlighted first on 60 minutes is that given the negative image police departments have been getting and specially in Chicago with 2 highly publicized police shooting on minority civilians , the cops have taken their foot of the gas and haven't been as aggressive as they once were in pro actively combating crime .
For those of you who blame the poor civilians who die and suffer from these gang related crimes , what would you say if a foreigner thought that all somalis deserve al shabaab, or that it is the fault of the somali community that terrorist decimate them .

African Americans on average commit more crimes than cadaans and other races. Its true. Also, I don't think anyone is blaming the poor victims who are caught in those senseless killings. But according to the Police, more than 80% of the victims have criminal record/past.

Than these same thugs go around and kill other black people. Madow people are funny. For each black person that gets killed by police, 100 more are killed by blacks and by their own.

6 homicides already and we are only 3 days into the new year? 2017 isn't starting on a good note for Chicago. But then again, its a Democratic strong hold. So its not really surprising. They really need to do something about all these senseless killings.

I could give them several suggestions, but they would need a really strong political will to carry on and to see it through.

Did you check the killings that take place in rural areas? Don't give me the stories from mainstream media, we need real stats from rural areas where majority of the population is white.

Chicago is about the same population as Brooklyn NYC but has more homicides than entire NYC and LA combined.

Chicago population is 2.7 million with around 800 homicides in 2016


NYC population is 9 million with 334 homicides
LA population is 4 million with 294 homicides

There were also more than 1100 more shootings in 2016 Chicago than 2015. About 4400 people shot in 2016 in Chicago.
