The one thing I can see is that when you have kids you have less sleep, less time, less of you to be with you. When people are under pressure the worst of them comes to the surface, no one wants to be with the worst of you so you make the person who is miserable

I wonder if the findings would change if they controlled for social support. Maybe if you don't feel so exhausted (or guilty for not being exhausted) then you have the good sense to continue to put on the best image of you on display for your partner...?

This is exactly how i see. Isnt about the kids its about raking care of them alone without help from family members or maid. And sometimes working outside too. Kids are a blessing and yes they do bring couples closer but stress nd headche are what ruin relantiopships. So if you are a rich nather effer who can afford a maid or live in africa you should be fine.
