Anyone else stay away from BLM halimos?

Postby Raidboss » Wed Feb 15, 2017 2:36 am

This topic might be controversial but I found myself avoiding any contact with a halimo that is very much pushing this BLM.
I have no issues with someone who thinks BLM and all lives but to push this everywhere on social media and when you remind them that their own people are suffering much worse fate they simple dont care and put the lives of black americans over their own. I cant deal with that selfhatred.

I can't stand em either

And I have been pro black since I was a youngin in the 90s, my neighborhood was full of AA reverts who put me on the civil rights era, cassette tapes of brother Malcolm, origins of NOI etc. I remember when majority of Somalis use to say they "we are not black" even in high school but now they are all of a sudden WOKE :lol

So phony!

I am not saying it to gloat or anything but they lack sincerity, just doing it because social media says it's hot or Beyoncé made an album about it lol

I can't stand these new age so called social activists.

I generally only interact with halimos who are 8/10 and above, these halimos tend to be very feminine and stick with their own kind. I don't interact with halimos who have too many foreign friends, and I completely avoid the halimos who only have foreign friends. My strategy yields results.

I could never be a BLM. Unless they accept Sheegatinimo.

As a Somali. I do not subscribe to blackness.

Wrong.
Asia = Continent
Black: Social construct based on hue.

Where I live, the black/white construct is as good as debunked. You will never identify by colour. Rather, by ethnicity.

That's a false equivalence. It's like calling the Taiwanese 'Yellow' or 'White'. At least, African is place-oriented. Somali is even more precise. Somalis are easily one of the most recognizable people out there. You can't hide a bowling ball shaped forehead and googly eyes. Face it, you aren't black like Felix the Cat, but you look like a cartoon character. And if we're going, to be frank, Tyrone can't be deported to said, West/Central African country that his ancestors were stolen from since he's truly American and has the privilege of being called black. Black is intermittently connected with his recent history/culture. It's ok to respect the contributions AAs have made but there's no point in being a culture vulture. Somalis have enough history that they don't have to steal other people's accomplishments/story/heritage. However, unlike Tyrone, you are a recent arrival. And as things stand, with Trump you are one step away from citizenship revocation and/or deportation. Christian-majority Africans, AAs and Islanders he doesn't mind. You, on the other hand, are viewed with greater suspicion. And less respected because your country is in bad shape. I would wager that you are more demonized. If there was a registry you would be on it. You could be easily spotted from the crowd and sent straight to a FEMA camp. While Madows, would continue unperturbed.

Whether I like it or you like it or not we are grouped together. When you get followed around the store it's not because of your religion it's because of your skin color. I'm proud of my heritage but not to the point of kibr.
Also I feel like I know you or your writing structure from somewhere, I give up the argument hahahaha

Bro, I'm very familiar with all sides of the argument. I'm just being a devil's advocate. Just not a big fan of people claiming "Black" only when faced by perceived prejudice/discrimination. I mean if you are going to claim it, do it for the right reasons.
I've never been followed, but if I were I would gladly use the shop clerk as my personal assistant. I mean if they insist on watching closely then they deserve to carry my bags. I think you must be from America. Plus, women don't have it that tough. They aren't seen as a threat. And in terms of the Kleptomaniacs, they are often well-to-do cadaan women.

Do I sound like someone that you might know?

 that too.

And if a racist storeowner groups me together with blacks dont really mean nothing. Why would I care about ignorant person opinion and base everything on it. Including how I identify myself? I see myself as a Somali. Nothing more.

These girls are stepping up to plate to advocate for the black community which we as Somalis are part of. I support their activism
