The Chinese might be Communist but they call spade a spade.

Keyword: VILLAGE
Goat trader Dahir Ahmed Mohamed at the goat market where more and more thin goats are for sale, "It's getting worse," says Mohamed, in the village of Garowe.

Large numbers of goats and camels have already died because of the persistent drought. Some 6.2 million people in Somalia are dependent on humanitarian aid as a result of a severe drought. Should there be no rapid relief, the country in the Horn of Africa is under threat of a famine.

In 2011 more than 250,000 people died in Somalia as a result of a drought.

You can assist relief efforts in helping those starving by donating at World Food Programme, Norwegian Refugee Council, UNHCR, UNCEF, KENYA RED CROSS, OXFAM, Norwegian Refugee Council, World Vision, FAO.

Is that surprising to you, garowe is very small town Even puntlanders don't consider garowe a city. It's just their state capital for its central location. Keep in mind the author is from the world's most populous nation, some little towns in China has more people than Mogadishu.

Also consider the fact all puntland towns never experienced war. What you see is a century of peace and its still a village. There is no population the enclave lack human capital.
