But I still think the sustainability of theae water sources should be monitored. Why should select groups of fat old men profit from the our shared resources below i.e. water. Every Somaliland equally owns that water - that is xeer law since time immemorial

We need to seriously monitor the water table in somaliland and tax these large corporations. I still don't understand how we have a coke factory in Hargeysa where the water is scarce . The government also needs to conduct quality control inspections on our products to make sure these companies provide what's on the label.

We can't blame the private sector too much because everyman is looking for opportunities. The government needs to step it up and start appropriating our tax monies to good use

This is just private bottled water venture. The question I have is who supplies water to the masses: is if the government or private?

If it's the same one then yes. It's owned by Ahmed Osman Geele and his family (Geele Arab).

The father made his money in Djibouti but it was his son who took their name to a new height. He did not use his father's money btw. He started from ground zero.

Now he runs over 18 companies almost in every industry in Djibouti and Somaliland from beverages (SBi - Somaliland Beverages Industry, which Coca Cola franchise operates under), to construction, shipping, medicine to car parks (Djibouti Tadjoura port).

This is his office in Djibouti, which was under construction last year.



They are same sub-qabil as Ahmed Godane, Edna Adan, my ayeeyo (Arab - Isaaq).
