Your whole life revolves around one war in the cold war, a war that is not even deemed significant enough that it should be added to school curriculums when teaching HS students about the Cold War. Very few people even know about this war, and even fewer know about its implications for Somalia and Ethiopia. Why do you obsess and spend so much time over this topic? It is very strangeBarre had the chance to change Somalia history but his several mistakes only created disorder and chaos.

I am glad Mengistu Hailemariam and Ethiopia prevailed on that one. The Cubans provided quick and decisive victory but in the long run Ethiopia was going to destroy Somalia anyways.
The initial problem for Ethiopia was logistical; moving its massive army from the mountains of Tigray and Eritrea into the far Misraq Hararghe.
As someone who grew up under Mengistu's army (chasing them around, playing with them, sharing their 'canned food' and biscuits, good memories), I am very glad things turned out how they did.

To answer your question ..it's simple 1. Name a leader 2. Ask yourself was he buried outside Somalia 3. If the answer is YES he was piece of shitIf he was bad then how about the ones after him?
