But Hiiraans position gave it control of the north- south routes of trade and the biggest bussiness these days is puying cattle from the drought affected areas in the north at a wholesale market price!

Hiiraan is one of the areas that can benefit from the federal system because the farmers receive logistical support for irrigation and they will pay taxes to the local government

The irrigation season is now starting because it was raining in the last few months and the two can not work together, it will ruin the crops. Irrigation can be done under rain if the farm is new and before the crops grow

the colour of the river is yellow when its new because huge amounts of alluvium turn the water that colour but this is good for farming because the deposit of clay left by flowing water will produce fertile soil. then it turns to white as you can see in the old facebook link and then to blue and green before it drains.
