The blow that Fagash never really recovered from, so many of their best fighters were killed in this engagement despite having better weapons and training. Hawiye had huge loses but were glad to sacrifice to win. This battle was mainly led by USC fighters from Ex military Hawiye colonels and generals. No wonder why Fagash have to have Ethiopians and Kenyans with them. They can never stand alone. Even in Kismayo today they have the Kenyans as protectors and homeless Farmajoo relies on AMISOM for safety inside Mogadishu.
