Why doesn't Farmaajo just take control of the southern states

I mean these states are just an eye sore.

I suggest he takes all the southern states and annex them into one southern state. After that just incorporate them all into one army. After that he could easily negotiate with Puntland because Puntland has made it clear that it'll rejoin Somalia when it's stable. After that all of Somalia is unified and would put Somalia in a position to negotiate with Somaliland.


If we manage to get Somaliland back I suggest we resort towards the pre-1969 borders

Halyeey Farmaajo would be running out of rubber bands if he nationalised all the isbaaro's that are scattered across our peninsula.

Personally, I would nationalise the khaat trade. I would do so under the pretext of fighting the khaat trade by taxing the stuff in a hope to change behaviours. I would go as so far as creating legislature that would ban khat from entering the market outside of the specified times, for instance you don't want the drugs on the market early in the day as it will effect productivity. Once again, this would just be a mere guise for my neat racket.
