I don’t know what you expect off somaliland. In terms of economy the only thing we had to start of with is camel sales the little infrastructure we had was destroyed and we cannot get loans from the outside world so I don’t see what you expect.

In terms of recognition there is no chance we will be recognised as off right now in the current circumstances. Foreign countries don’t just recognise parts of other countries it has to come from Mogadishu. The only way that can happen is if Somalia becomes a country again and we have a war and they’re forced to compromise so they can keep control of other parts of the country like Ethiopia Eritrea and South Sudan. There is no other way right now somalia doesn’t even have an army and doesn’t control any of its borders a man from America being protected by amisom has nothing to lose he’ll just say no and that’s it.

Diplomatically we have created facts on the ground were any war on SL would be deemed as wrong in the eyes of the international community and Somalia would be sanctioned which would weaken them further and force them to compromise or return to failed state hood. We have also leveraged Somalia’s beef with other countries and our strategic positioning to get over a billion in development on our port.

What the future holds we don’t know however we have a very strong hand. In the event of reunion with Somalia we hold the stratigic locations we hold the best port and access to the Ethiopian market we hold access to the oil in the north we hold access to one of the 2 large urban areas in the whole somalia republic we hold the largest military and the largest economy which will equal power.

And in the event of war we have built an economy and have the diaspora and nationalism for a brutal war.
