How should S/L be dissolved?

Postby original dervish » Sun Jan 06, 2019 9:35 am

Anybody who knows anything about s/l realizes the region is at a crossroads.
After 30 years of self declared independence not a single country on Earth recognizes their "independence".

Political violence and electoral disputes during the last election have reignited tribal schisms.
The region is a tinderbox waiting to explode and the upcoming parliamentary elections could prove to be the spark.

However, there is another way.
The leaders of the anti jeegan alliance should openly renounce secessionism and call for the peaceful dissolution of the constitution.
The region should be split into two sub regions, east and west.
A constitutional assembly should be convened to set the stage for reunification with the south along the lines of the 1960 power sharing agreement. The northern region will remain distinct from the south in all areas except foreign, currency and military affairs.

This is the only alternative to renewed civil war and the complete destruction of s/l.
s/l has numerous achievements that can be built upon in a new constitutional arrangement with the south. :)

You typed a lot of words but you didn’t say much. The only thing that dissolved was the SNA and your uncles against the SNM :D

Imagine how Somaliland would destroy you people in the present day when you can’t even defeat 6,000 terrorists . SNM slaughtered the last remaining fighting men you guys had it seems since you now struggle against couple thousand terrorists , such a shame. Anyways reer somalia stay in your lane your obsessions with SL might get you killed like the SNA and the various darood militias slaughtered like cattle or worse die on a Nigerian toilet like a beggar.

For the first time OD wrote more than 1 line. Congratulations  secondly have you heard of Roman empire. Persia , adal. Etc. They were all disolved by sword not talk. You should go back to your biology books. It's natural thing Organisms must compete , kill , robb and subdue each an other. That's how things are solved or created. To disolve Somaliland some peaple must sacrifice their lives . You can't have your cake and eat it . We have lost so many people to establish somaliland more than double must die to undue what I have been doing for the last 27 years.

The sadaat nation is stronger than ever any opposition to Somaliland govt is good kulmiye 9 year long was opposition they campaigned and won.. the U.K. defense minister is now in hargeysa. Isaaq unity can never be broken. Its a real blood relation. I never understood the qurjiile love affair with walanweyn. Hawiye hates them the most they were fighting for afweyne when afweyne was a refugee for Daniel arap moi.. they have absolutely nothing in xamar. I know they hate historic hate for anything Isaaq because habaryoonis east hj have karbaaahed them for centuries Somaliland is actually the only govt that secures their interest.

Reunification? Union was never dissolved and never will be. The Federal government only continues to get stronger, and it is only a matter of time the embers of secessionism are finally smothered once and for all. The golden age of SL hopes and dreams have slowly died. This is not a bad thing but a good thing for the people of the north, with change comes new opportunities.

OD do you think somaliland is like your little khatumo project or SSC that got dissolved.
Somaliland has existed for almost 30 years it’s older than SFG. Even if we don’t get recognised for another 100 years we will never join Somalia.

Sultan order we defeated when you were the strongest in the 1980s. What makes you think you can defeat us in 2019. When we are on our highest strength in 3 decades

Xamar fell and Hargeisa was abandoned. The north was always expendable, it’s always been who holds the south holds the country.

The south has no right to pursue this goal until there's not a single bomb being heard in the south, until no inch is controlled by alshabab, until all foreign soldiers leave the south. After that, they can come to talk, but if they come with their guns then it'll be 1988 all over again. Another civil war with no winner.

And why did xamar fell I think the north was very important to siyad Barre he signed off Somali galbeed and sacraficed his own darood to keep isaq land under his rule and we all know what happpend. and he moved 60 percent of the Somali army to Somaliland. You are in xamar your qabil after 30 years are in xamar how come you come you can't come close to Somaliland. Or do you believe in magic that amisom will bring you 2 hargeysa.

Then why hasn't anybody held the country since the 'North' turned its back on the South? You place to much emphasis on the federal government.

Please explain how this shall be achieved.

Xamar fell because the Cold War ended. The Barre regime lost the financial support percipitated by Cold War geopolitics, no money no soldiers.

The north is only important to northerners, the south is important to the whole world. I can not stress this point enough. This is why if the north becomes as successful as Taiwan, it will never be recognized.

My qabil was in Xamar and is in Xamar because that is the heart of Somalia.
