this has to with tribal politics of siyad barre and not with individuals. hobyo port project waa older than the boosaaso port even the 60s govt knew hobyo was more important.
Sahal, you are not going to convince anyone that Siyaad Barre preferred Bossasso/Berbera ports over Hobyo Port for clannist reasons. That doesn't even make any sense since neither port is located in a city where his clan settles. If Siyaad Barre cared about development for his clan, he would have done what Meles did in the Tigray region for his people. You and other dishonest individuals are always attempting to present a revised version of history. Ceeblaaweyaal baa tihiin. Projects in Somalia were mostly funded by foreign governments and they always went to the bigger cities or cities that were deemed strategic. His clan would have directly benefited from the construction of Hobyo port unlike those in Bossaso and Berbera. Heblaayo ayaa dhashay ninkaas iyo ninkaas naag cidaas ayuu qabaa sheekooyin ayaa meel kasta la imaan. Talo ahaan sheeko habreed jooji hadii aad rabtid inaad siyaasi misa political analyst noqotid.

it is good intention to help, but i agree we need to help ourselves first. however the whole beledweyne thing is a one big scam as soon as you bring money or food it is only distributed to xawaadle. the bantus and other jarjars are not given anything.

Turblence

Go ask Abdullahi Addow who was the Minister in MSB government about the Hobyo port project. He was a key lead on the Hobyo port project and spent years on the the proposal. Hobyo had a strong case for a port due to its proximity to one of the largest livestock areas of Somalia: Mudug, Galgaduud, Hiiraan, Shabelle Dhexe.

After the funding was approved and at a time when MSB was trying to bring the MJ back in from the SSDF, he decided to nix the Hobyo project in favor of Bosaaso as a peace prize for the MJ whom he has committed massive human rights abuses.

Don’t believe me you can go to my adeer who was there and you can’t question his loyalty to MSB.

Don’t mind these clowns who are polticizing Sadaqo. This vile qabyalad when it comes to disaster relief is disgusting. In those cases you either help by giving or if not by keeping quiet

Brace yourself, Somalis, the Ethiopians are coming, this time they're after the PORTS starting the Mogadisho one. A ministerial -level delegation will arrive soon in Mogadisho to execute the agreement between Abiye and Farmaajo about the ports. N£N wey duushay!

this is when kacaanka turned into full blown qabyaalad its all agreed that siyad barre was ok in his first 10 years. after SNM was created in london in 1981 they gone mad bc hawiye eill follow suit. they were ok with SSDF but they dodnt tolerate SNM bc of its Irir background. at this time, a dhulbahante poet of kacaanka wrote thos calaacal gabay darood ismaaciil kala yaac....abwaan mustafe elmi and hadrawe pro kacaan non darod poets waa yaabeen so i have video of abwaan mustafe(hawadle) wrote against him ehile he was pro kacaan. he says war mamaantaad qabyaaladii noo celoseen. qayladhaantii daarood eaxey keentay in SSDF la heshiiyaan cafis aa loo fidayay mashruucoi jobyo aa caddow oo markaas ahaa safiirka somalia ee maraykanka ayagaa mj ku wareejiyeen. boosaaso waxaa lagu dhisay lacgtii maraykanka ee cadow hobyo ugu talo galay
