Major Protest in Mogadishu after N&N police open fire on Civilians killing two

Postby IRONm@N » Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:58 pm

Protests erupted Saturday in Mogadishu following the killing of two civilians Friday night by police officers.
Sources said that Madina Abdullahi Abdi 17 and Hassan Ali Adawe 24 were shot dead by a police officer in Bondheere District Friday evening as the night curfew was effected.

The deceased were reportedly sitting outside their homes when they were hit by a bullet.

Constable Hassan Adan Hassan who opened fire on the two was later arrested according to police boss Gen. Abdi Hassan Hijar.

Sources said the police officer fired at the two youngsters after he ordered them to go inside their house. The two declined leading to the shooting.

Federal authorities reverted the curfew time by an hour starting from 7pm to 5am.

Mogadishu mayor Omar Filish called for calm adding the officer will soon be arraigned in court.
