Progress is measured by improving the well being of the average Somali, fighting/limiting corruption, providing basic services, improving the infrastructure, paying well and taking care of the army & other tangible progresses. America almost 100 years after independence fought a brutal civil war, that lasted 4 years due to the south wanting to secede. Abraham Lincon in your hyper reactionary, convenient fake nationalism could have easily been referred to as Anti Peace, Dictator, murderer, etc. 140 some odd years how was, and is he referred to in history books as? A hero who kept the nation together. Somalia has only been a nation for 50 years, the past 30 as a colony pretty much. These are necessary growing pains.
