Balanbale urban growth shocks me.

Postby Gubbet » Sat Jun 12, 2021 3:48 am

Marehan of central Somalia seem to be growing and urbanizing at a dizzying rate while the rest of the interior seems to be abandoning the interior for the urban sprawl of Mogadishu.

It is like a reverse-Kacaan when Marehan fled the interior for urban Mogadishu under the revolutionary government. Now it is the opposite.

Balanbale was literally just a watering well yesterday.

Caabudwaaq, Balanbale and other mx cities in both galmudug and jubbaland should be made into really good cities where the mx in the diaspora can come visit and have their vacations. The Mx in the diaspora don't have the strong connection with the homeland because they barely visit. While the MJs for example, vacation regularly in puntland and learn about their deegaan. That's why I'm scared the new mx kids in the diaspora will just forever stay abroad and not come to somalia.
