What a man, what a legacy of service to his people.
Sometimes there are show horses and work horses, Ahmed Barre Taakooy was a work horse.
If there is a man who has made more peace between or across from Marehan in history, I want to know who he is if he is not Ugaas Taakooy.
For a half century, the Ali Xaabuun Ugaasate has relied on him to be the work horse. Never left the land, never sat in one place for a day.
To the baadiye to the nomadic trails to the potential clash at a cell, to 10 or so Xaal/Gogol per day, Taakooy has literally protected human blood from being spilled.
May Good rest Taakooy's soul
