Sinister: I've been saying there is no future in the South without MX, glad you're finally realising this.

Mariixman and Gubbet, now you understand how I felt when I said I lost track of all this nonsense MONTHS ago.
I have no issues with marexaan or any other Somali clan. It’s still early, but farmajo has shown himself to be an astute politician. As Somalis say gal dil gartisana sii. These guys complaining now after everything has been signed and Rooble is in charge of the elections is a looser mentality. If he wins, then we must all accept and move on until someone better replaces him. Farmajo’s first term hasn’t been good to PL, he has tried to destabilize the state and meddled in state affairs. I think he will be in emboldened to continue that if he were to be reelected. This is why I personally believe he is an existential threat to PL.
I've been hearing that Farmaajo had plans to invade Puntland with the help of Abiy before the war on TPLF was declared, personally that sounds a little too crazy for me. But, I have to admit his steadfast refusal to transfer Puntland state funds was an attempt at destabilising PL/JL. At the same time, his camp is firmly entrenched with the Haiwye (at least for the majority of his tenure), he also hasn't done much for MX as a whole, (Gedo bombing mostly ignored or kept hush hush), he has sidelined them for the most part, so I don't think Farmaajo is operating on qabiil here, which is why I give him the benefit of the doubt.

IF Farmaajo is reelected and he declares war on PL, it will ignite the region on fire and we can kiss Somalia goodbye, I'm sure he's aware of this and wouldn't try something like that, if he does, well... it's his head.

With limited budget & resources, it's highly unlikely that Farmaajo would embark on a military adventure to 'invade Puntland.' It would be irrational as he gains nothing from that. More than once, he has employed non-military means to solve issues, and it proved to be cost-effective. Your scenario is a 'little too crazy', as you put it.

Agreed, Farmaajo is not stupid, he is of above average intelligence and very crafty when he needs to be, and from his thesis, he has proven to have a deep understanding on geopolitics, I very much doubt he'd do that.

If the arms embargo is ever lifted then PL should worry.

Just listened to Rooble speech about Gedo and the elections in general. He basically told opposition to stop crying and go to the cities and start their campaigns.
