Beledxawo International University coming along well with fundraising. Now Somali National University (SNU) @ Cabudwaaq is adding new faculties. Top six schools in the country as well. I’m here for this educational renaissance :lawd:

I said it long time ago, f the mismatching paint Flintstones designed "houses"; If you want to contribute back home support 2 things and only 2 things for traction; health and EDUCATION.

Most people don't know about HIRDA and the GEDO HEALTH CONSORTIUM.

In the last 30 years, Gedo Region has been the only region in Somalia where someone did not have to go to Mogadishu for health reasons, but instead everything that could be provided in Mog was provided in Gedo.

Gedo Health Consortium was a targeted effort and lobbying of the major Irish humanitarian agency TROICAIRE.

TROICAIRE TO THIS DAY ONLY WORKS IN THE GEDO REGION OF SOMALIA AND SENDS RESOURCES TO CAABUDWAAQ.

And they have worked in Gedo for 25 years straight because of Marehan active lobbying.

Trócaire has been providing humanitarian support to people in Somalia since 1992. For almost 30 years we have worked with people in the Gedo region of South Central Somalia.

HIRDA BUILT SHIRE JAMA AXMED SECONDARY SCHOOL.

The Dutch Marehan NGO is the GOLD STANDARD of NGO's and to this day is the official UNICEF partner of Somalia.

HIRDA began something called the EDUCATION NETWORK BUILDING in Gedo to replicate its success in restarting and continuing to provide exceptional secondary education in Caabudwaaq.

They Gedo Education Network Building followed the steps of the GEDO HEALTH CONSORTIUM; basically it united all of the actors and ngs and partners working on education with one Key partner, OXFAM like TROICAIRE was for Health.

This is how schools like Amiir Nuur in Garbahaaray and Markabley in Baardheere and Sayid MAH Technical Academy in Beled-Xaawo were started.

Marehan is forever indebted to our brothers and sisters who started HIRDA and the GEDO HEALTH CONSORTIUM long ago in the middle of Somalia's darkness and have quietly rebuilt the foundations of our society; health and education.

That our schools are 1, 2, 3 top rankings and we have the first establishment of SNU Regional IS ALL DUE TO THEIR QUIET EFFORTS NEVER ALLOWING OUR KIDS TO BE WITHOUT QUALITY LEARNING./size]

SaMTEC in Beled-Xaawo is a great school that I have been watching for years; this is how Beled-Xaawo keeps quickly rising back from conflict.

This school drones out vocationally trained master carpenters, builders, welders, electricians, etc like a robot line.

https://samtec.so/

It is also a great school to watch because TRADITIONAL EDUCATION isn't the only education needed by society.

A great aspect of Germany's dominant economy is its engineering prowess attributable to it's educational system with just as invested in and supported vocational training.

We need to expand vocational training all over Somalia especially tech oriented.

Markabley (Baardheere), Shire Jama (Caabudwaaq), Guuldwade (Kismaayo) and Amiir Nuur (Garbaharey) secondary schools were all set up at around the same time and their students have been performing really for the last decade or so. All started by the same group.
