I use to scratch my heads why a MX man from Caabudwaaq - Doollo would build a hospital in Hargaisa and not even a small one but literally massive health institution that gives free service to Rer Hagaisa, but then I realise, there are hundreds of MX if not thousands of MX who are from Caabudwaaq who have gone away from Caabudwaaq and post 1991 returned in the spirit of rebuilding, but due to the Al-itihad terrorism threat, Rer Caabudwaaq which is majority Sufis flipped out on these people seeing them as a threat, so we lost literally Engineers, Philanthropist, Doctors etc in the process, all killed, those who survived ran to far away regions and started investing, working or doing their philanthropist work there.

fast forward 2021, Caabudwaaq is has maamul, kala danbeyn, and is growing at fast rate, repeatedly took the most peaceful city in Somalia, so we went from our own people fleeing, to now providing homes to Jareer, Cadcad, Raxanweyn and other Somali clans, there is also a visible Isaaq community in Caabudwaaq.

Now MX who move back to Caabudwaaq, actually prefer staying, including Qurbo joog who are 2nd 3rd generation Rer Xamar.

AUN to the Doctor, he was also into politics, and I believe if he was alive today he would be in the government, I have alot in common with his ideology, he was also anti-Kacaan for not investing in MX regions, ironic he went a build a hospital in Hargaisa.

Speaking of health and MX resurgence in home regions, Caabudwaaq got 8 Oxygen ventilators from the FGS after massive campaign, GM stole like half of them in Dhusomareb.

But look at grass roots efforts from a woke MX qurbojoog providing 33 Oxygen ventilators , 4x what FGS provided.

^ Yes, back in the Eighties, Dr. Maxamed Aden served time with Cumar Xaaji Masale, Ismail Ali Aboker (AUN dhamaan) among others for allegedly plotting against the kacaan.

Because he will be harassed and hindered out of petty sub clannism. It's easier to just go to Hargeysa.

There is an silver lining in everything. thousands of mx households from caabudwaaq and balanbale settled in kismaayo because of the instability in galgaduud and now kismaayo is pretty much a mx city. It's like when HG in 2007 got chased out of mogadishu. Now they are back at their degaans but also gained ceelisha biyaha.

It's good to see caabudwaaq develop but we also gained kismaayo in the process.

Celi own plenty of hotels and business in Caabudwaaq mashallah, Sufi extreme reaction to terrorist Al itixad was a necessary evil and losing the human resources(engineers, doctorsetc) in a process of self preservation is a price we are willing to pay again and again.

Subclannism is an issue all across Somalia and Caabudwaaq is no different, if anything Caabudwaaq has handled quite well conosidering the circumstance, influx from Xamar, Yamarugley, Gelinsoor and everything in between while fighting a war since SSDF-USC-Gurmad against SPM- Liyuu police- GM, it is actually an insult to call Rer Caabudwaaq subclannist, they are some of the cleanest of hearts and welcoming Somalis, and that is why it is growing rapidly.

Caabudwaaq did not take over Kismaayo, it provided gurmad to MX majority town, people who moved from Xamar to Kismaayo also only moved to Kismaayo because there was already an established MX presence dating back to the colonial days.

Do you know the actual number of soldiers Hiiraale brought from Caabudwaaq in the JVA ? they were in their hundreds, the equipment and funding was the reinforcement, not a population replacement, the own was already MX majority, this is MJ propaganda and why they keep saying Walaalaha Galgaduud nonsense.

I am also going to be fair and say all MX survived a madness, the only one we can praise for that is Allah, there was no secrete organisation pulling strings behind the scenes, it was entirely thanks to Allah.

The Al itixad shit foked us up in JL in the end though.

NGM,

history of MX in kismaayo can be divided into 4 sections

1) pre 1991 where there are lots of MX in kismaayo. MX owned a lot of land and properties. Nine knows.
2) during 1991-1992 where darod fled mogadishu and fled to kismaayo. this turned kismaayo from a small town to large one. majority of MJ's in kismaayo are those who fled 1991 xamar. lots of marehan also settled then. this is what caused the problems as it muddled the demograhpics because all of a sudden MJ had for the first time a large population in kismaayo.
3) MX during 1998-2006 - thousands of household from mudug settled in kismaayo, a sizable amount of MJ's also left to go back to puntland. this changed the demographics back to MX
4) 2012 to now-- at least 50,000 MX left kismaayo. but kismaayo still is MX majority with a very sizable community of bantus they have been flooding kismaayo.

that is from someone who has been to kismaayo several times.
