Ogaden have alot of sheegato because its normal practice to absorb others especially those who easily accept like outcast groups, but they also try to force absorb clans who live with them and are dhaqan wadaag like Dir, Sheekhaal, MX something that is always rejected and lead to conflicts and deaths.

The big foot do this to bolster their numbers and its speaks volume as their origin as a paramilitary group and not real common ancestry was ever called Ogaden in the first place.

Majority of ogadeen are not somali. As you said most somali clans reject them being absorbed. Like how sheikhaal fought them in raaso and kept their identity. However it is boon hunter gatherers like the ones in qoqaani, afmadow, garissa and parts of ethiopia that joined them.

Probably 90 percent have no somali ancestors and the other 10 percent their blood tainted with Oromo, wardey, boni and so forth.

They are an somali speaking boons With no somali lineage.

Boon Marehan are the only langabs who are desperate to absorb people

they could not even get 500 soldiers in gedo and needed dhulbahanate and abgaal soldiers to be bribed to come down south

siad barre invited a lot of boons and also bantu jarers in the 1970s to join marehan to bolster their numbers

look at videos of marehans from Luuq protesting against ahmed madoobe,

you will see a lot of bantu looking marehans, these are the people siad barre invited
There are 5 milllion marexans in jubaland and kismayo is 100% marexan

Then why do you need dhulbahante and hawiye to fight for you in Luuq?

why cant marehan bring or raise 500 men on their own ?
there our slaves
